Houay Xai - Pakbeng by public slow boat

Daily departure from the main pier in Houay Xai. Ticket can be picked up while you are on board or at ticket office near the boat pier.

This public slow boat down stream the Mekong will depart the pier in Houay Xay, Borkeo Province by 10:00am, however, the time would not be punctual depending on how fast the load passengers, this is sharing public boat together with worldwide tourists and local people. The boat will flow down the river with number of stops to pick up and send off local passengers along the river. The boat will disembark at final pier today at Pakbeng and you will be arriving late by 5-6pm. Uppon arrival, you will be met and transfer to resort. You may make one night or two to experience sightseeing tours to villages, experience the unique culture and daily way of life.
